After Rembrandt, The National Gallery in Prague:
Rembrandtův obraz Učenec ve studovně doprovází projekt After Rembrandt, v němž se postupně představují díla osmi současných autorů vytvořená jako umělecké reflexe Rembrandtovy malby. Tentokrát se ve Šternberském paláci představuje Tomáš Tichý.
Recepce (či apropriace) starých mistrů je v umění standardním jevem a mnoho renomovaných galerií programově propojuje tzv. staré umění s uměním současným. Národní galerie v Praze nejenže hledá paralely v různých časových vrstvách umění, ale přímo podněcuje vznik osobitých reflexí současných umělců i návštěvníků galerijních programů.
Cílem je ukázat veřejnosti, že staré umění je stálým inspiračním zdrojem pro nové generace umělců, že má svůj potenciál a význam pro dnešní dobu, že nejde jen o artefakty zakonzervované na zdech výstavních sálů.
